Important information
How to read what's on this site.
We want every owner to make decisions with good information and good advice. Here's what our articles and tools are, and what they aren't.
General information only
The articles, tools and pages on this website are general information, written to help business owners understand their options and ask better questions. They don't take your personal objectives, financial situation or needs into account.
Not advice
Nothing on this website is financial, legal, tax, accounting, employment, valuation or insolvency advice, and it shouldn't be relied on as a substitute for it. Before acting on anything you read here, get advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances, such as your accountant, solicitor, registered tax agent, licensed financial adviser or registered insolvency practitioner.
Who Velaro is, and isn't
Velaro Group is a buyer of businesses. It is not a business broker or agent, a law firm, a registered tax agent, a licensed financial adviser or an insolvency practitioner, and it does not act for or advise sellers. Because Velaro may be on the other side of a transaction, we encourage every owner to have their own independent advisers, and we're always happy to work openly with them.
Laws and figures change
Tax rules, thresholds, employment entitlements, contract forms and other requirements change from time to time and can differ between states and territories. We check our articles against official sources and show the date they were checked, but we can't guarantee the information is complete, current or correct for your situation.
Tools and calculators
The walk-away calculator and readiness scorecard give rough, general estimates based only on what you enter. They aren't valuations or advice. They run in your browser and don't send or store your answers.
No offer or commitment
Nothing on this website is an offer to buy any business, or a commitment about price, terms, structure, timing or outcome. Any proposal is made in writing after proper conversations and is subject to agreed conditions, due diligence and formal documentation.
Examples and scenarios
Scenarios in our articles are illustrative, created to explain an idea. They don't describe real clients or transactions unless we clearly say so.
Third-party links
We link to official and third-party sources for further reading. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Velaro Group does not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information on this website. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
